Tommy’s Kicks for Kids
Physical activity is integral to the healthy development of a child. Tom Alper believed that children should not be precluded from the joys of participating in gym class, playing on the playground or at home because of a lack of adequate footwear.
Every school year, he would buy sneakers out-of-pocket for his students who came to school wearing shoes with holes in them or other forms of disrepair. It is in that spirit that Tommy’s Kicks for Kids was established.
Through the requisition form located below, an educator with a student in need of suitable active footwear can request a pair of sneakers on behalf of the student, and Tommy’s Kicks for Kids will send a new pair in the student’s size to the requestor’s school. To help put shoes on the feet of more children, please consider making a donation here.
