In the years since his passing, countless former students have recounted to Tom’s family the ways in which he positively impacted their lives.

Being a teacher in Elizabeth Forward School District was one of the great joys of Tom’s life, and it is our goal to carry on his legacy as an educator in that community by establishing the Tom Alper Memorial Scholarship.

Beginning at the conclusion of the 2018 school year, one graduating student from Elizabeth Forward High School who intends to pursue a career in education will receive a $1,000 scholarship in Tom’s memory.
